simple country pleasures

I LOVE TO POUR THOUGH OLD COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINES I JUST CAN NOT BRING MYSELF TO THROW ANY AWAY SO I HAVE A BOAT LOAD OF THEM !
I CAME ACROSS MARCH 2002 ISSUE WELCOME SPRING IS ON THE COVER THERE IS TWO SAYINGS THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE FROM THIS ISSUE
IN A PLAIN CLEAR GLASS WITH ONE SINGLE ROSE HAS A LABEL ON IT THAT SAYS
SOMETIMES I DREAM
OF A PLACE IN FRANCE OR
MAYBE IT IS OHIO
WHERE PEOPLE LIVE IN BIG HOUSES
WITH PEELING WHITE PAINT
AND GROW HERBS
IN THE BACKYARD
NEXT TO THE SWING SET

I THINK IT IS BY KEITH KEEGAN
IF YOU HAVE THIS ISSUE THEY DID A SPREAD OF HIS FORMER HOME ( STARTING OVER )
SO LOVE THIS STYLE

SAYING # 2 ( SIMPLE COUNTRY PLEASURES )
THE FINEST FURNISHINGS FOR A COUNTRY HOUSE ASPIRE TO WELCOME, NOT IMPRESS.
LET THERE BE ART TO NOURISH THE SOUL : PAINTINGS,POETRY, AND MUSIC. LET THEIR BE FLOWERS TO REMIND US OF OUR CONNECTION WITH NATURE: DAFFODILS IN SPRING, ROSES IN JUNE. AND LET THERE BE TWO CHAIRS , AT LEAST : ONE FOR YOU, AND ONE FOR ME .

  1. I am the exact same way about my magazines. I can NOT throw them away and I really don't even want to GIVE them away!! I love 'em.
A few weeks back, I did a post on some favorite rooms from one of my magazines. Everyone emailed wanting to know the issue so they could go buy it. I went back and looked at the date of the mag.....2001 !!oops..gotta watch that, I guess.:))

  2. Hi Janet! I love pulling out old magazines, especially when I'm sick and stuck in bed! I have them stashed everywhere around the house!

I hope you have a great week!
